Since its founding, the "Ilie Murgulescu" Institute of Physical Chemistry (IPC) (HG.400/1990) has recognized that an open, transparent, and sustainable human resources policy is key to both institutional and personal performance.
Following the publication of the ”Council Recommendation of 18 December 2023 on a European framework to attract and retain research, innovation, and entrepreneurial talent in Europe”, IPC committed to endorsing and implementing the 20 principles of the European Charter for Researchers. This alignment establishes an institutional framework that facilitates integration into a competitive international network of excellence.
IPC views the alignment of its HR policy with the Charter as an ongoing process aimed at fostering equal opportunities, professional development, and scientific excellence – with people placed firmly at its core.
Implementing these principles is a commitment to shared European values, positioning the EU as a hub for research and innovation, certifying international scientific standards and excellence, and encouraging talent mobility.
The process of endorsing the European Charter for Researchers was formally initiated with the submission of the Letter of Endorsement and the opening of application 2025RO287775.
